it's beginning to not feel like Christmas.

Christmas, what the hell does that even mean anymore... decorations are usually out before Halloween, people are shopping in July, and kids are pissed when they don't get enough for Christmas.

Not to be a scrooge, but how did it all come to this? I love Christmas for the season, the magic of it all! I just went to Disney World for the first time at the age of 24 during Christmas, you want to talk about tis' the season!

It's a time for joy, to get drunk with your co-workers, wear an ugly holiday sweater, pick out crazy stuff for white elephants gift exchanges, bake your ass off, decorate a tree, celebrate Jesus...

quit bitching about crowded malls, or not getting the best gift, and the road rage has GOT to stop. Drink some whiskey and mellow the hell out, and let DECEMBER be for Christmas and the enjoyable whimsical season it is meant to be!

here i go again on my own...

I hope it is appreciated that I title each post with a song title. FYI. Oh and don't judge the format I'm writing this post from my Blackberry.

Well like I said, here I go again on my own! I am all packed and ready to jet set back to the ALOHA state! I'm finally excited, an my return is HIGHLY anticipated by my fellow shipmates :) its funny how close you get to ppl when y'all are all stuck in a tin can for extended periods of time. (Its okay-think prison but fun and no group showering)

I am about to undergo my third rotation and my one year anniversary with the ship! Its hard to believe I've been in this gig for a year. I am interested to see if my transfer goes through and then I'll move from bar to cruise staff! Me a cruise director, hold on to your hats y'all!!! Hahaha that would take awhile but would be somethin to pursue.

ANYWAY kind of a boring blog I can't sleep pre travel jitters, I hate lying only because the idiots and creepers I get stuck with-be sure to check my twitter for THAT excitement!

Here's to smooth sailing and eternal summertime!

ALLOOHAAAAA see ya Tejas ;)

I was saved by the grace of Southern Charm

well ALOHA...only the second entry. oops.

life can really get a little much out in Hawaii, working all the time and not having much down time. your free time is precious.

As i write this current entry, i am back in the great state of TEXAS. yeehawww y'all i've been on vacation since June 5th and I don't return to the tin can until July 17th. I am one happy gal.

It's sad most people think I leave one vacation, to come back to what I call my vacation. FIVE WEEKS OF SANITY. It's things like cooking, housework, running errands, simple day in and day out things that I find fascinating the first couple weeks I'm home. I truly love the ship and Hawaii (no brainer) but I so miss leading a normal life. I miss Happy Hour on Tuesdays, and a Ranger Game on the weekend. Don't forget that dentist appt on the 4th, and meeting an old friend for lunch mid-week. Being normal isn't so bad.

Oh this place we call limbo is so frustrating... deciding to return to the real world is a big step for people like us.

On the flip side how could I give up Thirsty Thursdays at Nawiliwili Tavern, Kalapaki Beach, swimming with the dolphins at dawn, hiking to waterfalls, renting cars and exploring the islands, crew bar with the gang, or living in a shoebox with three other amazingly crazy young women!

But the quest for a grown up life conquers all in the end i suppose.

I am so very looking forward to enjoying this last rotation, a very enjoyable vacation, and then it's back to college for this girl. (whhhaattt?)
yep. i said it. i'm almost 25, let's get this shit over with. Through lots and i sure mean A LOT of prayer and soul searching over the past year, i am excited to return to school and finish with a Hospitality Management degree. HERE HERE to being self-employeed! (that's the longterm goal)

That all being said. This vacation has been P E R F E C T. Filled with an abundance of friends, food, lots of alcohol, family and much much more to come!

Life is a beach.

daddy cried when he saw my tattoo... and a list of many other things ;)

what a way to enter the blogging world, with my first title like that... ha.

I am rather well known for having all eyes on me, my personality is larger than life most days.

So what brings me here... good question. i find myself wondering the same thing. boredom, curiosity and creativity i suppose.

On that note, we shall begin, ironically I have faith that others will be reading this. Something to look forward to i suppose.

What really got me thinkin about blogging, was, well Twitter... i just started yesterday actually. Believe it or not my life is actually fascinating at this point in my life... i work on a cruise ship. Now you can live vicariously through me as i travel the seven seas... or maybe just the Hawaiian Islands... I go back to Hawaii next Saturday for my second contract. Been home in Texas for vacation and I'm ready to trade in this crazy Arctic weather, sweats and dry skin for sun, tan lines, and HAWAII!

Look at me getting distracted. Music, (although not musically inclined in the least bit) really seems to help me make sense of things. And that line, "Daddy cried when he saw my tattoo...", well not exactly, i believe he chose to ignore it for approx three days, and then once said... "ppl who get tattoos usually contract hepatitis without ever knowing", thanks dad. What does this have to do with anything? One should ask...

OH everything. I will be the first to admit, i have a few Daddy issues... he DOES NOT like my new Ship gig... "at the age of 23 and being a college dropout... you should be looking to do more with your life". OHHHH am I ever doing it. Workin on a cruise ship is college on steroids. SERIOUSLY. If this could legally be a reality show, we would have THE BEST ratings, GREAT stories to come I assure you.

So to wrap up all this nonsense... welcome!

If you're into randomness, sarcasm, and me... well then. look. no. further.
